Complete Overhaul
This modern home went through big renovations and wanted to include two existing bathrooms while adding two more. The plan was to complement the surrounding landscape: cool, cozy, and clean. The result was four brand new bathrooms with clean lines, warm accents, and plenty of space.
Designing for multiple spaces
This type of endeavor requires looking at the big picture. Each space is different, but through clever color and tile selections, you can create a cohesive look without it all feeling the same. Cool blues with warm accents in the tile and cabinetry are found throughout, but each room had its own plan.
Master Bathroom
Starting with the master bath, a window overlooking the Sound made a prime spot for a wide curbless shower complete with extra long niche and corner seat, perfect for long hot soaks while watching the rain whip across the waves.
Heated floors add an extra cozy touch, so there’s no rushing through the morning routine. And two separate vanities opposite each other leave plenty of space for a relaxing morning routine.
Children’s Bathroom
The children’s bathroom was designed with the future in mind, as the shower in the tub includes a practical hose attachment for bath time and adjusts height as they grow and grow. And the accent tile and colors give an air of playful yet practical.
Guest Bathroom
The guest bathroom downstairs gets less natural light, so we chose to accent more warm, earthy tones in the cabinets and unique tile that lines the shower. Working with a smaller guest space required strategic layout. A wide sink with a large cabinet provides storage and allows more space to get ready.
Powder Room
Finally, the powder room, while small and simple, provides to be the most fun! A stronger play of warm and cool with a bold tile pattern across the entire wall makes for an inviting and cheerful space for guests. And the unique lighting evokes bubbles frothing at the shore nearby. Each room came out vastly different, yet all together they make a home to last for a generation.
